Since 2008, the Colony Auto Enthusiasts have had the pleasure of presenting the Williamsburg Invitational Car Show. The event is held in the center of Colonial Williamsburg on Duke of Gloucester Street. Due to the constraints of the location, the show is limited to 50 participants. However, this limitation is offset by the uniqueness of the location.
To the east of the show field are Merchants Square and The College of William & Mary, while to the west lies Colonial Williamsburg proper. Bordering the field on the north and south sides are several historic buildings, a shaded park with tables and chairs, and a pasture where horses graze. This family friendly event attracts thousands each year.
