The first shows, beginning in 2008 were called the “Williamsburg Gatherings, and they were held in the Merchants Square shopping district. During the Covid period the street was closed to vehicle traffic and converted to an open air gathering plaza with tables and chairs. This set-up became popular with visitors and locals alike. Starting in 2019 the car show was moved one block east to its present location.
