Venue

On September 8th 2024 the area surrounding the Show Field will offer many varied attractions. The Show Field is bordered by picnic grounds, historic buildings, manicured gardens, and open fields. One block west is Merchants Square offering shopping and dining and outdoor seating. One block beyond that is the “2nd Sundays”  street event offering arts, crafts and entertainment. All this with the College of William & Mary, and historic Colonial Williamsburg as the back drop.

Show Field

The event is held in the center of Colonial Williamsburg on Duke of Gloucester Street.
Due to the constraints of the location the show is limited to 50 participants. That limitation is off-set by a location hard to duplicate. To the east of the show field is Merchants Square and The College of William & Mary, to the west is Colonial Williamsburg proper. Bordering the field on the north and south sides are several historic buildings, a shaded park with tables and chairs, and a pasture with horses grazing. This Family Friendly event attracts thousands each year.

Merchants Square

An eclectic collection of shops and eating establishments centered around open plaza with seating and shade for all to enjoy.

Williamsburg Area

Originally called “Middle Plantation”, it was named Williamsburg when the British Crown Colony of Virginia was formed. It served as the capital of the colony from 1699 to 1780. Williamsburg, along with Jamestown and Yorktown played a significant role in the American Revolution, together they are known as the Historic Triangle. The picturesque Colonial Parkway connects these three sites.
